AFRICAN WAVE
VOICES AMIDST CONFLICT

Yale School of Public Health
Health Documentary Film

THE BRIEF

The Yale School of Public Health was creating a documentary about health disparities in areas of conflict and needed to communicate how healthcare inequalities are extrapolated by regional conflict. The challenge was to visualize analogies and context from scratch without disrupting the documentary's narrative or pacing.

THE IDEA

I translated complex public health explanations into visual sequences using historical stock images and paper textures to create stop motion infographics, and analog textures with news station footage to create visuals that feel educational in ways that both students and working adults can feel familiar with.
